Growing a Sustainable Future — One Goat and One Beehive at a Time
This year, Harvest Craft launched something special — our very first silvopasture program at the Haiti Center for Agroecology (HCA), nestled in the beautiful mountains of Haiti.
It’s an innovative farming system that combines trees, pasture, and livestock to restore the land, improve animal health, and strengthen communities that rely on livestock for their livelihoods.
Thanks to a generous donor, we’ve already laid the foundation: fencing, forage trees, and pasture areas — all designed for long-term sustainability. Now, we’re just missing one key piece.
The goats — the heart of this silvopasture system.
But this program isn’t just about one farm.
The silvopasture program at HCA will serve as an open-door training hub for farmers across the region who depend on goats for food and income. Farmers will learn how to raise healthier animals, manage their land sustainably, and build more resilient farms.
By integrating livestock and trees, the HCA will also generate sustainable income to support its ongoing education and community programs — reducing the need for outside aid and empowering local farmers for the long term.
Sweetening the Future with Honey
Real, raw, pure honey isn’t just a superfood — it’s a hot commodity in Haiti. We want to give our farmers an edge by providing on-site training in how to establish and manage beehives.
This effort is part of our self-financing model — setting up a large-scale honey production system at HCA that will provide stable income for the program while serving as a hands-on training center. Farmers will see firsthand how sustainable practices can generate both nourishment and profit.
The more hives we can establish over the next year, the stronger the foundation for long-term success. Every new hive helps build a solid income stream for HCA and the surrounding community.
How You Can Help
Donate $100 to provide one goat
Donate $250 to establish one beehive
(Or give any amount — every dollar brings us closer to our goal of 60 goats and a thriving apiary.)Your gift — whether a one-time donation or a monthly commitment — will help us create a program that sustains itself, empowers farmers, and transforms communities from the ground up.
Together, we can grow something that lasts — a future as strong as the land it’s rooted in.

Suggested donation: $250 per Beehive
Real, raw, pure HONEY is not only a superfood, it is a hot commodity in Haiti. We want to give our farmers an edge by providing on site training for how to establish and manage beehives.
This is part of our new self-financing model. We want to set up a large honey production on the HCA in order to bring stable income to the program while providing a training mechanism that will show proof of concept through its own success.
The more hives we can establish over the next year will help to build the solid income foundation that this program will need. WE WOULD LOVE YOUR SUPPORT over this short period of time.
Even if it is just a one time donation, or a monthly commitment, we hope you will consider lending your support.
Suggested donation: $100 for one Goat
Your $100 donation helps us get closer to creating a program that sustains itself financially and provides a real active training model for local farmers - empowering the Haiti Center for Agroecology and local farmers for the long term.
Restore COASTAL ECOSYSTEMS
Suggested Donation: $100 to plant 330 mangrove trees.
This program is purely about restoring coastal forests. We have an excellent formula that works, and we want to keep this work going. Unfortunately, this program will not have the capacity to fund itself in the future, it is completely dependent upon the generosity of our donors who want to impact people and the environment they depend on.
For only .30 cents you can plant a Red Mangrove Tree in southern Haiti and provide meaningful employment to people who are in desperate need of a stable income. You can help us combat poverty while providing a nature based solution for these communities in need. Help us to add on to the more than 5 million trees we have already planted here! Our goal is to raise $100,000 dollars to plant 330,000 trees this year.
